LECTURER - Jeffrey Marshall

  • HUNTEDON'S HISTORIC BARNS.
    Complimentary to the historic barn photography show by photographer Anne Freeman, join renowned barn historian Jeffrey Marshall for an informative talk by Jeffrey Marshall, President of the Heritage Conservancy. Anne Freeman will also be on hand to discuss some of her photographs and her photography.

  • HISTORIC BARN TOUR:
    Join our deluxe coach bus as we ride passed the rural scenery of Hunterdon County with some of Hunterdon's best barns as our destination.  Our guides George Conard and Jeff Marshall will share their expertise on the history of many of the county's farms and the amazing architecture of Dutch, English and German barns found throughout Hunterdon.  Lunch is included in what will be an informative and fun filled Autumn Day.
    Limited to 50 People 
    There will be a small fee for this event.

Jeffrey L. Marshall, President of Heritage Conservancy in Doylestown, PA has been involved in historic preservation and land conservation for over 30 years. 

Marshall serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the National Barn Alliance and is one of the founders of, and serves as the President of, the Historic Barn and Farm Foundation of Pennsylvania.  He is the author of half a dozen books on local history and historic architecture.  In 2014, he was the keynote speaker at the Friends of Ohio Barns annual conference.

He is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association and has been a frequent presenter at the national Land Trust Alliance Rally as well as the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association annual meetings.  He has authored several municipal open space plans and works with county and municipal efforts to directly preserve land.

In 2003 he was the recipient of inaugural “Bucks County Preservation Legacy Award” created in his honor for more than 20 years of leadership and dedication for the preservation of historic places and open spaces by the Bucks County Commissioners.  He is also the recipient of Governor, Senate and Pennsylvania of Representatives commendations for career achievements in conservation and preservation.
